Throughout the years we've made objects like these, keeping them to ourselves, displaying quietly on our studio benches and shelves, occasionally tucking them into your packages as special thank you gifts.  They're seaside bit & bobs collected over the years, memories of places, and reminders of the great big blue.

The large Mussel shell and Oyster shells are perfect vessels for burning incense cones in.  All are cast in bronze from a small family run foundry in Rhode Island that we've worked with for about 15 years.  We then carefully patina them to a verdigris finish.  This listing is for a green Verdigris finish only.  If you’d like to inquire about one without that, please email us studio@katejones.us

Two Oyster shells~

•The "Salt Oyster" named so because it is the very same one used in our Oyster Salt Dish (though we don't recommend putting salt in these bronze objects).  It has a deep "bowl" and measures 2.75" L x 1.75" W x 1.5" D.  Shown here in the first two photos on the white background.

•The G.P. Oyster (named for its Glidden Point origins).  Both come from the Damariscotta River in Maine.  It is a more shallow form and measures 3" L x 2.25" W x 13/16" D.  The G.P. Oyster is shown here in the last two photos with the table settings.

•The Rope was found on a cool fall day, in the sand, at the end of Cape Cod and measures 3.5" L x 8/10" diameter.

•The Mussel shells are from the cove that our Maine studio looks out upon. We have two sizes: small (shown here) measures 2" L x 1" W x 4/10" D and a large (shown in the table settings) which measures 3.5" L x 1.5" W x 3/4" D.
